SYMPTOMS

  • UNIFI Portal fails to start
  • Cannot log in to UNIFI
  • UNIFI hangs at login page without errors
  • UNIFI is stuck at initializing or starting

STRATEGY

SIMPLE SOLUTIONS

  1. Ensure that the user has been assigned a license - WKB13846
  2. Have a UNIFI administrator re-activate a disabled user account - WKB101981
  3. End Waters.Portal.exe process from the task manager - WKB89697
  4. Start the Waters Service Host service - WKB25068
  5. Start Oracle Listener and Waters Service Host services - WKB6422
  6. Start the NetTcpPortSharing service and restart the Waters Service Host service - WKB15647
  7. Rename the computer to the original name - WKB11728
  8. Restart the workstation - WKB73100
  9. Power-off the PC for 5 minutes and restart - WKB20405

  1. Update the host PC name in the database after PC name change - WKB11804
