Cannot log into UNIFI without getting "Unable to Communicate with Waters Service Host" message - WKB9567

SYMPTOMS

• When logging in to UNIFI, getting a message saying "Unable to Communicate with Waters Service Host".
• Restarting system gives same result.
• Cannot manually stop the Waters Service Host Service and restart it without getting message stating that access is denied.

ENVIRONMENT

• UNIFI 1.8.2 (workstation configuration)

CAUSE

The OS user account was changed to have fewer privileges.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Use an OS administrator account or undo changes made to the existing account.
