Troubleshooting BioAccord instrument setup failures (Guided Troubleshooting) - WKB95208

SYMPTOMS

  • Instrument setup won't run
  • Instrument setup fails
  • Calibration fails
  • Manually infusing lockmass solution yields weak or no signal 
  • "Low Response Detected" error message

ENVIRONMENT

  • BioAccord System
  • ACQUITY RDa Detector

STRATEGY

  1. Make sure to use the correct LockSpray solution - WKB119274
  2. If setup won't run, ensure that your vacuum level is <7e-7 mbar - WKB72092
  3. Ensure that fluidics solutions are not empty and that the fluidics tubing is fully submerged in the fluidics solutions - WKB53359
  4. Purge the syringe a few times - WKB53253
  5. If some calibration peaks are missing, sonicate the calibration solution - WKB72090
  6. Depending on which step failed:
    1. Make fresh lockmass - WKB70324
    2. Make fresh calibrant - WKB53365
