PROCEDURE

1. Turn off LC components.
2. Turn off Empower computer.
3. Wait two minutes.
4. Turn on Empower computer.
5. Log in to desktop of computer.
6. Wait five minutes.
7. Turn on ACQUITY instrument with the switch on the back.
   • Traditionally this is the ACQUITY FTN.
   • If ACQUITY UPLC (Classic) is in use, this may be the column compartment.
8. Turn on the rest of the LC components.
9. Wait two minutes.
10. Open Empower.
