QDa Windows 10 setup in Empower (Guided Troubleshooting) - WKB99782

SYMPTOMS

• Waters Computer Images for Windows 10 have local group policy that subjects users with administrator privileges to User Account Control; this results in a variety of symptoms, including improper instrument control and problems installing, running, and configuring software
• Console cannot find QDa
• Console finds QDa but displays communication failure; unable to reset
• QDa applet in Run Samples shows MS Instrument and Communication Error
• DHCP Server shows QDa
• Node Properties Shows QDa as "Yes"
• Instrument configures normally in Empower
• In a networked Empower Enterprise system, the ACQUITY QDa does not work on a LAC/E with a bridged network card
• System stuck at Preparing for Injection during acquisition and never completes the acquisition
