No beam because of communication issue with EPC - WKB81251

SYMPTOMS

• No beam, not even solvent beam.
• All voltage readbacks are normal.
• Desolvation temperature option was unavailable and showed readback of 40 °C.

CAUSE

Communication issue with EPC.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Restart EPC (see detailed instructions here - WKB7776).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

For instruments under UNIFI control, reset the LND to regain communication. If that fail to restore communication restart the LND and perform a hard reboot (electronics reboot) of the MS.

After EPC restart, desolvation temperature box returned to normal and all beams were visible.
