CAUSE
Dirty or damaged cone.
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Remove the cone.
- If it is damaged, replace it. If not, clean it. See: How to clean the cone on a Waters Mass Spectrometer.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
If the system has a Corona pin - clean that also.
