ACQUITY SM-FTN error: Sample Fluidics High Pressure Limit (value) - WKB19999

SYMPTOMS

• Error: "Sample Fluidics High Pressure Limit (value)"
• High pressure with inject valve in Inject position
• Pressure decreases with inject valve in Load position
• Error "Pump H/W overpressure" occurs following needle seal readiness test
• Error: "Sample Fluidics High Pressure Limit (value)" on ACQUITY Sample Managers does not resolve the issue
• ACQUITY H-Class System Overpressure Error does not resolve the issue
• While performing Characterize Needle Seal the resulting value for the seal force constant is too high (19 N/mm)

CAUSE

Clogged seal extension tube (seat port)

Partially clogged Vespel Seat with Anti-Rot (# 405011492)

FIX or WORKAROUND

Replace seal extension tube, 700005234. (H-Class SM-FTN)

Replace seal extension tube, 700006056 (I-Class SM-FTN and ACQUITY APC)

Replace Vespel Seat with Anti-Rot (# 405011492)
