CAUSE

Loss of prime in the solvent line between the seal wash solvent reservoir and the seal wash pump

FIX or WORKAROUND

  1. Verify that there is solvent in the seal wash reservoir.
  2. Disconnect the seal wash tube outlet from the drip tray and connect it to a syringe using an adapter.
  3. Wet prime the seal wash solvent line by using the "Prime Seal Wash" function from the ACQUITY console menu while aspirating with the syringe until the seal wash solvent arrives at the seal wash pump.
  4. Leave the "Prime Seal Wash" function running for a few minutes.
  5. Stop the "Prime Seal Wash" function.
  6. Reconnect the seal wash tube to the drip tray.
