CAUSE
Illegal characters ( + - . ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) = and spaces) were used in the file names.
See article #2435 What characters can't be used in file names in MassLynx?
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Rename all MassLynx files (tune files, inlet methods, and MS method and sample names) so they include only the English alphabet, numbers, and the underscore.
- Do not use spaces in file names.
- Ensure that sample file names do not have spaces at the end of the name. This is difficult to spot in the sample list but can cause issues.
- Ensure that file text SampleID field does not contain illegal characters if the sample ID is used as the file name (OALogin).
