SYMPTOMS

• MassLynx Tune page becomes unavailable and instrument loses communications
• An acquisition sequence may be aborted with a "Server busy" window pop up error.

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx
• Shadow Copy or Volume Snapshot Service or Volume Shadow Service or Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS)

CAUSE

Volume Shadow Service was running during data acquisition.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Turn off the Volume Shadow Service as per article #15560  How to disable Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) in Windows.
