Inlet method editor does not open in MassLynx after file corruption - WKB15851

ENVIRONMENT
- MassLynx
CAUSE
The file that the Inlet Editor is trying to open may be corrupt or missing, possibly as a result of creating an inlet file containing an unallowed character (e.g., a space or a period).

FIX or WORKAROUND
- Close MassLynx and applications.
- In Windows Explorer, browse to the current project folder.
- Locate and delete or rename the project.ini file.
- In the Windows Start search box, type regedit and select regedit.exe to launch the Registry Editor.
- In Registry Editor, browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Micromass\Inlets\InletEditor\Recent File List.
- Delete all recent files, leaving only (Default).
- Close the Registry Editor,
- Reboot MassLynx, PC, and EPC (mass spectrometer).
- Open MassLynx > Inlet Method.
NOTE: When editing the registry, always follow the customer's SOPs.
