ENVIRONMENT

  • Empower 3 Enterprise/Workgroup
  • No anti-virus software is installed on the client PC
  • PC name is not changed

PROCEDURE

Check the communication between the client PC and server

■Procedures
(1) Confirm the IP address of the server
- From Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Change Adapter Settings, right-click on the Local Area Connection and select Properties.
- Open the Network tab of the Local Area Connection Properties window, select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), and click Properties.
- Confirm the IP address on the Properties window of Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
(2) Ping the IP address of the server from the client PC.

If the ping receives a reply in step (2), there is no problem with the physical connection.
After confirming that there is no instrument running, restart the server and check whether the issue is resolved.
If the ping receives no reply in step (2), there is a problem with the physical connection.
Check if the issue is resolved by disconnecting/connecting the LAN cable, the power cable of the hub, etc. If this doesn’t help, consider replacing the LAN cable or hub.
