How to calculate the heat output or dissipation (BTU) from an instrument - WKB7935
Article number: 7935
OBJECTIVE or GOAL
Calculate the heat output of an instrument in order to properly cool the laboratory.
ENVIRONMENT
- All instrumentation
PROCEDURE
- Your instrument's Site Preparation Guide should specify the heat dissipation in kW
- If no heat dissipation is specified you can take the typical power consumption as heat dissipation
- If you prefer the value in British Thermal Units per hour, multiply by 3412 (1kW = 3412 BTU/h)
