TQ-S micro vents following cone change - WKB85409

SYMPTOMS

• Instrument vents after cone change
• Different cone, nozzle, and O-ring do not resolve issue

ENVIRONMENT

• All Xevo mass spectrometers

CAUSE

The M3 socket shoulder screw that secures the upper gas cone position block became loose, causing a source leak between cone and O-ring.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Tighten the M3 socket shoulder screw that holds on the gas cone position block.
2. The shoulder screw and/or Belleville washers may need to be replaced.
