MS status stays at "waiting for inlet start 1" after injection - WKB668

SYMPTOMS
- AutoSampler makes injection
- LC method starts
- MS method or detector does not start
- MassLynx status (bottom of sample list page) remains at "Waiting for Inlet start 1"
ENVIRONMENT

CAUSE
Inject start cable is connected to the incorrect I/O port or disconnected (on the MS or detector) so the Start signal cannot be received
FIX or WORKAROUND
Plug the inject start cable(s) into the Event In 1 I/O port on the back of the Mass Spectrometer and/or detector.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
In the inlet method, under Tools > Configuration > Events > Triggering, select Event in 1.
