SYMPTOMS

• Low sensitivity on customer samples
• Increase in sensitivity is seen when increasing the diff. app. voltage

ENVIRONMENT

• Xevo TQ-XS
• Xevo G2-XS
• Xevo TQ-S
• Xevo TQD
• Xevo TQ MS
• ACQUITY TQD system

CAUSE

Dirty Ion Path (Ion Block, StepWave or Ion Guide, Quads, Collision Cell)

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Clean or replace ion block and Ion Guide/StepWave assembly.
2. If cleaning or replacing ion block and ion guide/stepwave does not increase sensitivity, quads and collision cell should be considered to be cleaned especially if the customer compound is relatively non-polar i.e steroids.
