Low points per peak and poor chromatography peak shape in MassLynx - WKB28711

SYMPTOMS
- Chromatography is unsatisfactory with poor peak shape - broad peaks.
- When creating MS Method the Points Per Peak is lower than it should be - half compared to a working system.
For example: Peak width = 4 and Required Points Per Peak = 12. - Cannot achieve 15 points per peak even though the dwell time was adjusted to the lowest possible setting in the MS method.
- Has been seen after a PM visit or Installation visit.

CAUSE
Inter-Scan Setup was set to Manual mode.
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Disable Manual Inter-Scan Delay setting on the tune page (Tune page> Setup >Inter-Scan Setup) and ensure that "Enable Manual Mode" is NOT selected.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
During a PM, for the charging test in some instruments, the Inter-scan Setup is set to manual. If this value is not reset this issue can occur. Same problem can be encountered after an Installation visit.
