Scroll pump not turning fully on to start the pump down of the SYNAPT G2-S - WKB20811

SYMPTOMS

• Scroll vibrates as though it is turned on, but never comes to full speed.
• Mass spec times out and cannot pump down.

CAUSE

The scroll pump is not receiving the full 220V from the UPS. The read back is 88V and 110V with a volt meter. The wall outlet where the UPS is plugged in reads 110V and 110V. 

FIX or WORKAROUND

Customer must service or replace the UPS.
