Xevo TQ-XS low sensitivity post PM - WKB205509

SYMPTOMS

• Loss in sensitivity (both positive and negative modes) post PM.

ENVIRONMENT

• Xevo TQ-XS
• Xevo TQD
• TQ Detector
• Xevo TQS micro
• Xevo TQS cronos
• Xevo TQ Absolute

CAUSE

• Capillary protrusion changed during PM servicing of the ESI probe.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Adjust the capillary protrusion at a flow rate the user normally runs at to optimize sensitivity.
2. User should be shown how to optimize the capillary position as most never adjust this.
3. You can find the optimum lengh ( 0.5-1mm out of the probetip ) inside the usermanual from the MS.
