Poor mass accuracy on SYNAPT G2-Si - WKB17015

SYMPTOMS

• Performed calibration just before the runs.
• Mass accuracy is off even by 20 ppm or more.

ENVIRONMENT

SYNAPT G2-Si

CAUSE

Resolution on low e4 ions is below the set point. You can find the set point under System > Acquisition settings.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Tune up the resolution on low e4 ions as described in this article.
2. Ensure that the lock mass signal is at least 5e5 counts per second in continuum mode.
