The customer's standard operating procedure (SOP) stipulates how often the instruments need to be calibrated. The MassLynx online help states the following:
Recommendation: Calibrate the mass scale approximately every 3 to 6 months, or run a suitable calibrant to determine mass accuracy. Calibrate before you use methods outside the speed or mass range covered by your current calibration.
