"Ion Guide 2 Pressure too high" error on Xevo TQ-XS - WKB121428

- Recent maintenance on source/sample cone
ENVIRONMENT

CAUSE
Missing or incorrectly stacked Belleville spring washers that are used to position the gas cone position block correctly
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Vent the system.
- Remove the gas cone position block.
- Pay attention to the orientation of the curved washers. To determine their arrangement, imagine that
the washers are parentheses. Arrange them in this manner: ( ) ( ), four per side for a total of eight. - Reinstall the gas cone position block with the Belleville spring washers arranged as described in step 3.
- Tighten the screw that holds the cone gas position block and ensure that the sample cone can be correctly installed.
- Ensure that the vacuum system pumps down correctly and that the Ion Guide 2 vacuum gauge reads close to 5e-3 mbar after an appropriate period of pumping.
