SYMPTOMS
- EPC does not boot
- Resets every two minutes with an audible beep
- Monitoring ping—replies seen for about two minutes and then lost for a few lines as the EPC self-resets and beeps

CAUSE
Instrument LAN Ethernet card firewall active
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Deactivate the firewall on the instrument LAN connection.
- Confirm that the second LAN card for "house" network connection is active.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Advise customer that the instrument LAN connection must not have the firewall active.
