Reproducibility is poor on ACQUITY APC system - WKB9071

SYMPTOMS

• Poor reproducibility
• No leaks or bubbles found

ENVIRONMENT

• ACQUITY APC (FTN)
• ACQUITY H-Class/H-Class (FTN)
• ACQUITY UPLC
• ACQUITY Sample Manager

CAUSE

System startup procedures not performed.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Prime the solvent lines.
2. Prime the washes.
3. Characterize the needle seal, needle, and sample loop (Sample Manager) or characterize the needle seal (FTN).
4. Equilibrate using the initial conditions until the pressure is stable.
