High pressure on Alliance (replace filter) - WKB87851

SYMPTOMS

• High pressure alarm with column on the system
• Column tried on other system (OK, but still high)

ENVIRONMENT

• Alliance HPLC System
• 2695 Separations Module

CAUSE

Partially blocked inline filter, column inlet red tubing, and cell.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Remove the outlet tubing of the inlet filter after the pump and compare the pressure with another system in the same conditions (of flow, plumbing, and composition). If there is a big difference, replace the filter (WAT035190).
