SYMPTOMS
- High pressure alarm with column on the system
- Column tried on other system (OK, but still high)
ENVIRONMENT
- Alliance HPLC System
- 2695 Separations Module
CAUSE
Partially blocked inline filter, column inlet red tubing, and cell.
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Remove the outlet tubing of the inlet filter after the pump and compare the pressure with another system in the same conditions (of flow, plumbing, and composition). If there is a big difference, replace the filter (WAT035190).
