Temperature Control Module II does not reach the programmed temperature - WKB20050

SYMPTOMS

• A temperature is programmed for the TCM
• The TCM communicates and the the programmed temperature is displayed 
• The actual temperature of the Column Heater Module does not change

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3
• Temperature Control Module II with Column Heater Module
• ACQUITY UPLC system

CAUSE

The Column Heater Module is not plugged in.

FIX or WORKAROUND

When Waters ships a new TCM/CHM, there is a warning label placed over the outlet where the power cable should plug in (see attachment). Ensure that this sticker is removed and the unit is plugged in during installation.
