ANSWER
The Waters Image Writer is a virtual printer that creates images, in the Enhanced Metafile (EMF) format, of anything printed to it. This printer is the means by which printed images from LMS Smart Builder sections are stored in LMS documents. It is also the foundation of the LMS AutoPrint add-ins for Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. This printer is installed along with each copy of the NuGenesis LMS client software.
The Waters Image Writer is not involved in the generation of PDF documents from LMS. That function is handled by the WatersLMS PDF Printer on the NuGenesis LMS server.
