How to reinstall the printer "Waters Image Writer" for NuGenesis LMS - WKB20576

OBJECTIVE or GOAL
Re-install the Waters Image Writer printer for the NuGenesis LMS client—when the printer is deleted or not installed.
ENVIRONMENT
- NuGenesis 9 LMS
- NuGenesis 8 LMS
- NuGenesis 8 ELN
- Vision Publisher 7.1
PROCEDURE
- For NuGenesis 9 and NuGenesis 8 LMS (FR1 or SR2):
- Open a command prompt with Administrator privileges.
- Set the directory to the LMS client's installation path, typically Drive:\Program Files (x86)\Waters\NuGenesis LMS\Waters Image Writer.
- If the printer is still present, then run these programs, in the displayed order, to uninstall the printer:
- srvinst_x64.exe uninstall
- setupdrv.exe uninstall
- Run these programs, in the displayed order, to re-install the printer:
- srvinst_x64.exe install
- setupdrv.exe install
- Creon.Dragon.WIWConfig.exe LMSPortrait 200 230 300 300
- The installation process does not display any messages.
- Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers, and check for the printer "Waters Image Writer".
- Open the Services control panel (Start > Run > services.msc) and look for the service "VPDAgent". This service must be present, started, and logged in as LocalSystem.
- For NuGenesis 8 ELN SR1:
- If the printer is still present:
- Open the Control Panel \ Printers and Faxes, select Waters Image Writer, right-click the printer and click Remove or Delete
- Browse to the ELN client's installation path, typically Drive:\Program Files (x86)\Waters\NuGenesis ELN\Waters Image Writer.
- Run the program setupdrv.exe. The program will copy the necessary files to the system folders and display a message box with the result of the install process. The success message is "The Waters Image Writer printer has been installed and is now available from all of your applications."
- If the printer is still present:
- For Vision Publisher 7.1:
- If the printer is still present:
- Open the Control Panel \ Printers and Faxes, select Waters Image Writer, right-click the printer and click Remove or Delete
- Browse to the ELN client's installation path, typically Drive:\Program Files\Waters\Vision Publisher\Waters Image Writer.
- Run the program setupdrv.exe. The program will copy the necessary files to the system folders and display a message box with the result of the install process. The success message is "The Waters Image Writer printer has been installed and is now available from all of your applications."
