How to disable LDAP authentication in NuGenesis LMS - WKB20565

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Turn off LDAP authentication in NuGenesis LMS.

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 8 LMS
• NuGenesis 8 ELN

PROCEDURE

1. Log in to the NuGenesis LMS client.
2. Open the Administration page > System Configuration. Expand External systems > External Authentication. 
3. Change the selection on the Authentication drop-down list from "LDAP" to blank (empty). 
4. Click Apply, and then click OK. 
5. Close or log out of the LMS client. The LMS authentication system will be used on the next user login.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

To disable LDAP authentication with a SQL script:

•  Run the VP-ELN_Disable_LDAP_r1.sql script attached.
•  This may be the only option if LDAP authentication is active and the LDAP server is down, or if the LDAP configuration is not valid.

Note: A SQL script to enable LDAP authentication is also attached.
