Error in NuGenesis LMS: "Error occurred trying to Release a Document" - WKB205623

SYMPTOMS

• The following exception error occurs when you click on the Release button for a document:
  • The type initialize for 'Creon.Dragon.WebService.ExperimentReportService' threw an exception

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis LMS 8
• NuGenesis LMS 9

CAUSE

The WatersLMS PDF Printer for NuGenesis LMS is not available on the LMS Application Server.
It’s either disabled or deleted. Spooler Services is also stopped.
 

FIX or WORKAROUND

Set the WatersLMS PDF Printer as the default system printer on the application server:

1. Open the Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
2. Select the WatersLMS PDF Printer:
3. Click File menu > Set as default printer.

Set the PDF printer in the LMS server configuration:

Install WatersLMS PDF Printer if it’s missing from Devices and Printers.
