The NuGenesis Archive Agent module does not start - WKB13436

SYMPTOMS

• When starting the Archive Agent in the SCC Manager, the AA stops after 10 to 15 seconds; the module does not start

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 9 SDMS
• NuGenesis 8 SDMS

CAUSE

The project selected to run in the AA configuration was a read-only project.  Data could not be written to project fields in the database.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Look for error messages in the AA Activity log file.
2. Two options: Either remove the read-only flag from the project or choose a different project in the AA configuration.
3. To clear the read-only flag on the project:
   1. Log in to SDMS Administrator.
   2. Select the project name in SDMS Admin that matches the project name in the AA configuration.
   3. Right-click the project and click Properties.
   4. Select the Database tab in the Project Properties window.
   5. In the Oracle section, clear the "Read Only mode" selection.
   6. Click OK and click Save. You may see a prompt for user credentials and/or a reason for change, depending on the system configuration.
   7. Repeat steps 2 through 6 for each project listed in the AA configuration.
