Error: "The system cannot find the file specified" appears in the NuGenesis TE_TEMP *.mark_bad files - WKB13504

SYMPTOMS

  • Files remain in TE_TEMP rather than being moved to the NuGenesis database or Managed Storage
  • One or more *.mark_bad files appear in the TE_TEMP folder
  • The following error message appears in the *.mark_bad files:
    • "ErrorString2229=2:1:1565:The system cannot find the file specified"

ENVIRONMENT

  • NuGenesis 8 SDMS

CAUSE

  • A reboot of the server or a restart of the NuGenesis RPC service while files are captured;
  • or, a temporary drop of the network connection

FIX or WORKAROUND

  1. Delete or move all of the Mark_bad files from TE_TEMP into a new folder.
  2. Restart the RPC service.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This error message means that all the files in the group that are needed to insert the record in questions are not in TE_TEMP.
