Error "[NG15346] The creation of new Templates requires that you have NuGenesis VISION installed" occurs when creating new templates in NuGenesis SDMS Administrator - WKB111399

SYMPTOMS

• The following message appears when trying to create new archive/UNIFY/extraction templates in NuGenesis SDMS Administrator:
  • [NG15346] The creation of new Templates requires that you have NuGenesis VISION installed.
• It is possible to edit existing templates on the same machine

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 9 SDMS
• NuGenesis 8 SDMS

CAUSE

"VISION Installed=1" is not present in the win.ini file in use by the application.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Add "VISION Installed=1" to the [NuGenesis Info] or [NuGenesis Info 8.0] section of the win.ini file. The relevant file may be:
   • C:\Windows\win.ini (especially for single-user PCs or VMs)
   • C:\Users\username\Windows\win.ini (Citrix)
   • C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\win.ini (if VirtualStore is active in Windows)
