How to enable debug logging for the Empower data adapter in NuGenesis SDMS 7.1 - WKB10550

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Activate debug logging for the "Remote" half of the NuGenesis SDMS 7.1 data adapter for Empower.

ENVIRONMENT

  • NuGenesis SDMS 7.1

PROCEDURE

  1. On the SDMS server, stop the Archive Agent in the Service Configuration console.
  2. Restart the RPC Service.
  3. On the Empower system, rename "D:\Program Files\NuGenesis 7.1\EVS\ng70EVSEmp2Svr.exe" to "ng70EVSEmp2Svr.exe-orig" (path may be different).
  4. Copy the debug version (attached) of ng70EVSEmp2Svr.exe into D:\Program Files\NuGenesis 7.1\EVS (path may be different).
  5. On the SDMS server, start the Archive Agent in the Service Configuration Console.
  6. Find additional log files (EmpowerLog.log) in C:\Windows\system32.
