How to modify the UNIFY server list in NuGenesis SDMS - WKB10503

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Modify an existing installation of a UNIFY printer to print to different NuGenesis SDMS servers.

ENVIRONMENT

• NuGenesis 9 SDMS
• NuGenesis 8 SDMS

PROCEDURE

1. NuGenesis 9:
   • Run the command-line program "NGLocm.exe" in the Drive:\Program Files (x86)\Waters\NGSDMS\UV folder with the parameters for adding, or deleting, a server in the list.
     • Adding a server to the list: NGlocm.exe /N="New Server - NuGenesis RPC Service" /U=ServerHostname /P=2500
     • Deleting a server from the list: NGlocm.exe /N="Server - NuGenesis RPC Service" /U=ServerHostname /P=2500 /D
2. NuGenesis 8:
   • Run the command-line program "NG80Locm.exe" in the Drive:\Program Files (x86)\NuGenesis 8.0\UV folder with the parameters for adding, or deleting, a server in the list.
     • Adding a server to the list: NG80locm.exe /N="New Server - NuGenesis RPC Service V8.0" /U=ServerHostname /P=2500
     • Deleting a server from the list: NG80locm.exe /N="Server - NuGenesis RPC Service V8.0" /U=ServerHostname /P=2500 /D

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Usage information for NG80LocM and NGLocM:

USAGE: ng80locm.exe /N=DisplayName /U=HostName /P=PortNumber [/D][/S]

DisplayName - the name that identifies the remote location
HostName - the HostName or IP Address that is used to connect to the remote location
PortNumber - the port number to open at the above address
/D - OPTIONAL flag for deleting remote locations
/S - OPTIONAL flag for running in silent mode (no error output)
