OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Automatically export MassLynx.raw data to an open file format using a post-run process.  Batch Export data for use in 3rd party software e.g. Excel,  R or Python etc 
Note this will only export Mass Spectrometry data, not PDA data

PROCEDURE

Use Databridge - a file conversion program supplied with MassLynx. The DataBridge program can be run as part of the acquisition process or as a post run processing.

  1. Configure Databridge for the type of conversion required:
  2. From the the Windows Start button go to Programs > MassLynx > Databridge
  3. Click Options.
  4. Under Source: select the file type to convert from - MassLynx

  5. Under Target: select the file type to convert to NetCDF or ASCII. USe NetCDF - to convert .CDF files or ASCII for .txt files.
  6. Click OK then Close to close the Databridge application (Note: the automatic process does not work if Databridge is already open) 

     
  7. Run the DataBridge program from the MassLynx Sample List:

  8. If the Process column is not already present in the sample list select Samples > Format > Customize, and select "Process" in the options menu. Press OK.

  9. For the sample to be exported, under Process, double-click on the Process column cell and select the Dbridge option from the dropdown list.

  10. Save the sample List.

  11. Start the data acquisition or data processing. The DataBridge program can run as part of the acquisition process or as a post run process.
