Cannot export MassLynx data to netCDF using Databridge in SYNAPT G2-S/Si or Xevo G2-XS SCNs - WKB9593

SYMPTOMS

• Databridge export to NetCDF fails and Databridge fails

ENVIRONMENT

• SYNAPT G2-S and MassLynx SCN 916 (and probably other SCNs for the SYNAPT G2-S)
• SYNAPT G2-Si and MassLynx SCN 957 (and probably other SCNs for the SYNAPT G2-Si)
• Xevo G2-XS QTof/Tof and MassLynx SCN 966, SCN 996, or SCN 1018 

CAUSE

Data processing components of MassLynx, including Databridge, are not supported in many of the Tof instrument control SCNs. 

FIX or WORKAROUND

Process the raw data using MassLynx desktop. The current desktop release is SCN 1012. 

Databridge also works fine in instrument control SCNs for the Xevo G2 (e.g., SCN 990) and Xevo G2-S (e.g., SCN 971). 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Waters recommends that all data processing of Tof data, including use of Databridge, be carried out using the current desktop processing variant of MassLynx.
