SYMPTOMS
- Cannot open inlet method
- Inlet methods do not run
- Individual inlet files have sizes of 0 kB
ENVIRONMENT
- MassLynx
CAUSE
User Account Control (UAC) is set to "Always notify" instead of "Never notify". This prevents MassLynx from functioning correctly.
FIX or WORKAROUND
In User Account Control Settings, change the slider to the lowest level (never notify), and then restart the PC.
