Is Windows 11 supported with MassLynx 4.2? - WKB224956

ANSWER

Windows 11 is not currently supported. However, Microsoft has released its first Long Term Service Channel for Windows 11, and development work by Waters is in progress with an aim to release a Windows 11 image for MassLynx in Q2 2025 to be used with SCN 1050. 

MassLynx 4.2 SCN 1050 will support the following MS instruments:  ACQUITY QDa II Mass Detector, RADIAN ASAP, ACQUITY QDa Mass Detector, SQ Detector 2, Xevo TQ Absolute, Xevo TQ-XS, Xevo TQ-S micro, Xevo TQ-S cronos, Xevo TQD, Xevo TQ-S and Xevo TQ-GC, Xevo G2-XS, Xevo G3 and Synapt XS 
MassLynx 4.2 SCN 1050 will support all the inlets currently supported in MassLynx 4.2 SCN 1049

Note: Only the P5 MassLynx PC will be compatible with Windows 11. P520 and P720 PCs (and earlier models) will not support Windows 11.

Any customer who receives a P5 computer with Windows 10 from Waters will be able to upgrade to Windows 11 by purchasing the Windows 11 upgrade kit, when available. 
Note: “Upgrade” means you can move from Windows 10 to Windows 11, but it will be a clean installation of Windows 11, not an in-place OS upgrade.
