Is Windows 11 supported with MassLynx 4.2? - WKB224956

ANSWER

Windows 11 is not currently supported. 

However, plans call for future releases of MassLynx SCNs to support Windows 11. The required development work is planned to start when Microsoft releases the LTSC Windows 11 image, probably in Q4 2024. 

Update April 2024: the plan is still to commence the work Q4 this year with an aim to release it in Q2 2025

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Note: The Windows LTSC 2021 license that we include with a MassLynx workstation is the IoT version; this gives us another 5 years from the “regular” version, so support ends in 2032.
Windows 10 LTSB 1607 also effectively had an IoT license with 10 years of support, but it just wasn’t called IoT.
