ANSWER

The credentials for the default administrator user account to allow access to the MassLynx Security Manager are the same as those for the default local administrator user account for the installation of Windows on the PC.

For a PC provided by Waters, the username is Administrator and the password is the serial number of the PC.

If the PC is provided by the customer, the username is generally Administrator. For the password, contact the local IT department.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Note: If the default local Windows administrator is going to be disabled per company IT policies, another user must be added to the Administrator group in the MassLynx Security Manager before the account is disabled. The default local Windows administrator user account is the only user that can access the MassLynx Security Manager when the software is first installed.
