SYMPTOMS

• Start a sample set in MassLynx, but the ACQUITY does not inject
• The MS goes straight to acquiring

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx
• LCMS acquisitions from the sample list

CAUSE

The events and triggering is not turned on.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Go to the inlet editor and select the Tools drop-down menu.
2. Select Instrument Configuration.
3. Select Events and Triggering in the bottom-right corner.
4. Select Events In 1 and next.
5. For the pump, it is okay to leave it as Trigger by contact closure (even when not using a contact closure cable).
6. Select Next, Finish, and Finish.
