Error "Failed to obtain detector status information" appears when starting MassLynx analysis with an ACQUITY Column Manager - WKB18280

SYMPTOMS

• Inlet Method window error message:
  Failed to obtain detector status information waiting for method conditions
  Failed to download method :- <<method name>>
• Losses observed when scanning using NetEvaluator  (See article #1018, What is the NetEvaluator utility?)
• Column Manager errors in ACQUITY Log
• Network cables are not faulty

ENVIRONMENT

• MassLynx
• ACQUITY Column Manager
• LC-MS system

CAUSE

Faulty network card in the column manager

FIX or WORKAROUND

Replace the ACQUITY Column Manager Ethernet switch.
