Interaction with the Shimadzu LC-2010CHT keypad causes Empower to disconnect - WKB79296

SYMPTOMS

• Interaction with the HPLC keypad causes Empower to lose connection
• Reboot of the LAC/E is required to regain Empower control

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower
• Shimadzu LC-2010CHT

CAUSE

For GxP compliance, interaction with the HPLC keypad is prohibited while under Empower control.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Use the Shimadzu control panel from Empower run samples.
2. Run the system check under MENU to view consumable details and instrument status.

If access to the HPLC keypad is required:

1. First disconnect the system via the MENU in the Shimadzu control panel in Empower.
2. Access the HPLC keypad as required.
3. Connect the system via the MENU in the Shimadzu control panel in Empower.

You may also need to take the system offline in Configuration Manager.
