• Natively controlled instruments (e.g., Alliance, W410, 1515)

• Windows Server 2016 / Windows 10 Desktop Experience

CAUSE

The root cause is undetermined.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Create, edit, and save the instrument methods using other Empower clients.

Corrected in Empower version 3.6.0 :
INFEMP-6973 (CRI-822)
Previously, if an instrument in your instrument method was controlled using an embedded
instrument driver, such as Alliance instruments, when you edited the instrument method, an
Attempted an unsupported operation error displayed.
Now, you can edit the instrument method and no error displays.
