Error: The report method cannot be used to sign off results in Empower - WKB50273

SYMPTOMS

• Trying to perform e-signature with the appropriate privilege brings the error "The report method [name of method] cannot be used to sign off results" (see screen shot below)

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3 
• Self-directed qualification report "Noise RM RS" and "Flow Rate Linearity RM RS" for UPLC QSM-FTN-PDA project

CAUSE

The report method type is not a sign-off report method.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Open the report method.
2. Right-click on a blank section in the report and click Method Properties.
3. Select the "Allow this method to be used in Sign Off" check box to convert the report to a sign-off report. 
4. Save the report method.
