"Failed to create directory" error when creating a new project in Empower from the acquisition client - WKB195854

SYMPTOMS

• Cannot create a new project from Empower client (acquisition PC)
• "Failed to create directory" error when creating a new project in Empower from the acquisition client
• No issue from Citrix Server

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3 Enterprise

CAUSE

The firewall blocks WatersService, DCOM, COM network port.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Add exception in the firewall to allow DCOM and COM network port between acquisition client and Empower server.
