OBJECTIVE or GOAL

Quantify components with internal standard correction to account for variation in LC-MS analysis in Empower with 2D data channels SIR or MRM.

ENVIRONMENT

  • Empower 3

PROCEDURE

  1. Acquire 2D data for the component of interest and the internal standard (SIR or MRM channels) in Empower.
  2. Create a cross-channel processing method using the processing method wizard:
    1. Refer to the correct channel name for the component of interest and the internal standard.
    2. It will first set up the parameters for the component of interest and then continue for the internal standard.cross channel processing 1.png
    3. Save the created processing method.
  3. Edit the method set used for the acquisition or create a new method set for processing:
    1. Select the data channel for your component of interest and the created cross-channel processing method.

    2. Save the method set.
  4. Process your sample set with this method set to obtain quantitative results (peak response, calibration curve, amount) for your component of interest after internal standard correction.
