"Empower 3 Base Package Option has not been installed yet" message appears when a user opens Empower - WKB18668

SYMPTOMS

• "Empower 3 Base Package Option has not been installed yet. Please install the option and try again" message appears when a user opens Empower

• Show Licenses on the Waters Licensing Wizard is blank
• Instrument runs continue, and a new run can begin with an open run samples window
• Opening a new window in Empower, such as Run Samples, also gives the error

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3 all platforms

CAUSE

The base license is not activated. 

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Activate the base license and all additional licenses if any. For instructions on activation, see KCS article 1918.
