Empower- Application Instrument Server Crashes with Empower 3- WKB14489

SYMPTOMS

• Run stops randomly
• The Instrument Server exits unexpectedly.
• Instrument Server crash in Application log
• Faulting module can be reported as MFC71U.dll  or ntdll.dll  or mil0.dll or mil1.dll

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3
• Acquistion
• Instrument Server Crash

CAUSE

Defect reported as  PCS 55077 ,53915, 55005, 55040, 55536, 55595, and 55657.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Fixed in Empower 3 FR3 Hotfix 1 under PCS 55077

MFC71U.dll message with Empower 3 instrument server : Waters

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

If  faulting module is reported  as OraClientxx.dll. This is due to PCS 55040.
